67 an hour SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, this position installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, grounds and pipe and electrical systems.
This position will be covering Springfield Garden, South Jamaica and Queens as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Keeps facilities in compliance with all guidelines and in good appearance.
Completes general repairs in all facilities.
Upon receipt of work orders performs visual walk through of facility upon arrival and does additional work, if necessary.
Maintains and keeps tools in good working order.
Keeps an accurate inventory of tools.
Keeps maintenance areas neat and orderly.
Checks fuel oil levels.
Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment as necessary.
Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Assists in maintaining an adequate inventory of on-hand supplies.
Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and fixtures including sinks, urinals and toilets; wash windows, mirrors and walls; clean and sanitize showers as assigned; replenish supplies in the restrooms.
Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors.
The Driver of the vehiclie is responsible for transporting patients to and from various locations and appointments.
COMPETENCIES (KSAs) Problem Solving Teamwork Communication Able to follow instructions laid out in equipment and procedure manuals REQUIRED EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent required LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Valid New York State Driver's License and a clean driving history with no suspensions, revocations, violations, or points REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Minimum of one years related experience and/or training in general maintenance Experience driving a mini-van or small SUV WORK ENVIRONMENT This job regularly works in an indoor office environment and in outside weather conditions.
The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
